With two decades of experience and over 20 years as a musician, guitarist, sound engineer, and producer, Andre Salmon is deeply passionate about audio and musical experimentation. Driven by a profound love for sonic textures—even when they become abstract or dissonant—this artist comes from a small place located at the center of the world: Ecuador.

Globally recognized for his music and emotionally charged performances filled with energy, euphoria, and intensity, Andre was born in the 1990s and absorbed the essence of a generation shaped by diverse musical cultures. He has earned the recognition and support of renowned artists such as Jonathan Moffett, the legendary drummer of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, as well as Madonna and the iconic Elton John, among many others. He has also gained the respect of highly acclaimed sound engineers, including Cass Irvine, founder and owner of Wired Masters recording and production studios. With only these few names, it becomes clear that we are speaking about a serious and highly respected musical artist.

His musical roots and inspirations encompass a broad spectrum of influences, ranging from punk rock, hip-hop, electronic music, and nu-metal to experimental and alternative genres. His passion for electronic music led him to explore nu-wave, electro, house, and techno rhythms, establishing himself as a recognized figure within the global electronic music scene.

When it comes to Andre Salmon’s performances, one thing stands out: every show is unique. Nothing is pre-planned; everything is fully improvised. As a DJ, he instinctively knows what to play and when, selecting music spontaneously by reading the crowd and responding to the energy of the audience.

He also performs a hybrid live act called I’m The Rain, where he uses three CD players and a Tascam tape recorder to sample cassette tapes filled with sounds, voices, and acapellas. Combining production techniques, controllers, and hardware machines, he creates a unique sonic narrative that opens a vortex between the art of DJing and live music production.

Andre has developed a distinctive sound in his original productions, carrying a signature style that is instantly recognizable.

His inspiration extends far beyond music itself, incorporating influences from animation, television series, cinema, painting, and abstract artistic concepts, creating a fusion that reflects his artistic vision and ability to merge different creative worlds.

He later founded Anima Somnis, a label with a more melodic approach, blending elements of house, minimal, and techno. This was followed by Above From The Tree, focused on ambient sounds and breaks, and later by Fenómeno and Ouch!, labels oriented toward a more tech-driven sound.

In addition, he is part of the iconic KMS Records, founded by Kevin Saunderson and Inner City during the 1980s. The label continues to maintain a strong foundation in house and techno music. Andre serves as a sound engineer for KMS Records and several other labels, delivering mixes and masters with a purist philosophy that combines extensive listening experience and analog equipment to preserve the human essence of sound quality.

Currently, Andre is developing PARALLEL <|>, a new record label and project alongside his close colleague Marcjack. Andre’s rebellious anti-rules vision, shaped by introspection and broad musical culture, merges with Marcjack’s house-oriented influences rooted in legendary labels such as Nervous Records, where Marcjack is also part of the artist roster. Together they have created the perfect combination to launch this project onto the global stage.

The label’s catalog features a diverse selection of artists and sonic directions, including Felipe Valenzuela, Kevin Saunderson, Carlo Lio, Jay Kurmis, Felipe Venegas, Art No Logia, ACÁ, Javi Bora, and many more.

Andre Salmon also made his debut at the renowned Boiler Room, hosted at one of the world’s most beloved clubs, Lost Beach Club in Montañita, Ecuador. He has been a fundamental part of the venue since its early beginnings, both as a DJ and as a musical artist.

Throughout his career, he has been invited to events such as Paradise Ibiza and has shared the stage with some of the most respected names in electronic music, including Seth Troxler, Magda, Ben Klock, Charlotte de Witte, James Zabiela, Green Velvet, Gordo, Cloonee, Martin Buttrich, Paco Osuna, Lee Foss, and many others.

Today, Andre Salmon works as a Sound Engineer and A&R for Trackstack, one of the world’s largest platforms and tools for DJs and electronic music artists. The project was created through the collaboration of Cameron, George, and one of the most influential figures in underground dance music, Jamie Jones—founder of Hot Natured alongside Lee Foss, Anabel Englund, and Ali Love (Infinity Ink), as well as the creator of labels such as Hot Creations, Hottrax, Emerald City, and Paradise.

The story is extensive, and words fall short when attempting to summarize Andre Salmon’s journey. Thanks to his strong relationships and connections with internationally respected artists, Andre has had the opportunity to release music through some of the most prestigious labels in underground dance music culture, including:

Hot Creations, Elrow, Drumcode, Suara, Ultra/Area10, Toolroom, Saved Records, Get Physical, Repopulate Mars, Mood Child, Kaluki, Drumma, and even the legendary Fabric Records.

His single Where Is The Salmon, released through Get Physical and Family Matters, was selected again for inclusion on the physical release of FABRIC 100, mixed by the legendary Craig Richards, Terry Francis, and Keith Reilly.

This extensive list spans labels ranging from the deepest underground roots to globally recognized institutions.

Andre has also collaborated and remixed music alongside highly respected artists whose influence continues to shape electronic and dance music culture, including:

Paul Johnson, Inner City, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Deeon, DJ Sneak, and many others.

His most recent artistic endeavor explores his shadow self and emotional depths through introspection. This project, known as Merac.•, represents noise and completely abstract music without any specific purpose other than satisfying his own artistic shadow.

This creative journey also led to the creation of his labels ERROR MACRO and KAAL, both featuring vinyl and digital releases. More than record labels, these platforms serve as personal archives for Andre Salmon.

ERROR MACRO showcases Andre’s non-danceable, challenging, and deeply artistic musical paintings, represented through projects such as Merac.•.

KAAL, on the other hand, is a sonic rune that listeners may encounter at any point throughout Andre’s musical path. The name KAAL originates from initials inspired by the love for his family and presents melodies and sequences transformed into hypnotic techno and trance-inspired experiences.
